Card 35 Grace Given
Friday, June 5th, 2009On Tues. June 2nd we were able to extend GRACE to a Mom & her 2 children & a friend. The story goes like this, the Mom is a single mom. Her ex husband has lost his job & child support is not coming like it use to. My Mom invited them to come to the beach & stay for a few days. They have not been on a vacation for many years. They asked if they could bring another sweet girl w/ them. This young girls family lost their house to a fire weeks ago. Her family has been living in a local motel for the past 60 days.
When the Mom’s were talking about the trip to the beach & packing, our friend told the told the other Mom not to send much money w/ her daughter because she would not be able to have her girls spending much money. The trip to the beach was going to be the extent of their vacation. And they were thrilled to be at the beach!!!!
We had been praying for months about our Grace experience, and we knew this was who we were going to bless. When the girls were all swimming in the pool, we were talking about the evening & what the game plan for the evening was. I shared w/ our friend that we were going to the boardwalk in Ocean City & the evening was going to be an all expenses paid evening…food, rides, souveneirs, treats, parking. Our friend went to tears. She was overwhelmed. She just couldn’t believe it. My Mom had blessed her so by just having her come & stay with us. She could not believe her girls & their friend were going to be blessed even more.
I shared w/ all of them later about the GRACE EPIDEMIC.(including about Grace Evangeline) The girls are going to carry out an act of grace as well as their Mom.
I must also share it was my Mom’s 75th birthday. She said the evening was a present in itself to her just watching the girls having so much fun.
What a joy & blessing this has been. We will continue to pray & be a part of the GRACE EPIDEMIC.
