What is Grace?
What Exactly is Grace?
Plain and simple, Grace is receiving something desired that we do not deserve—an unmerited favor. This begs the question, what do we deserve? As opposed to grace, deserved comes in one form— payment/service in exchange for payment/service. “Deserved” is a human construct. Deserved is intuitive, give something to someone and receive something in return. It’s balanced. It’s fair.
Grace, on the other hand, is counter-intuitive. One of the best parts of grace is that it is unfair. Giving something to someone without the intent or the desire to receive anything in return. Grace comes in many forms: providing service/money without anything in return, forgiveness, eternal salvation, unconditional love, etc.
Grace is free, only because the giver Himself has paid the cost. Jesus Christ is The Grace Initiator. When Jesus died as a sinless man on the cross, He purchased our eternal life by redeeming us from our own sins. We are called to share the grace that we have received through Jesus to the world. Because of grace, there is nothing we can do that could make God love us any less or any more. There is no way that we can earn grace. We cannot deserve grace. But we can all give it!
It’s hard to give grace. Sometimes it is even harder to receive grace. We feel some obligation to repay what we have been so graciously given. Grace Epidemic allows us to satisfy this feeling of imbalance by passing grace along to someone else who needs it. God has blessed us all with gifts, talents, and resources so that we can demonstrate grace to those He places in our path. Together we can spread the epidemic of grace.

Grace in spiritual terms can be described as the Spirit, what causes you to do something good. What drives you. It has been described as the Holy Spirit, the driving force behind your good actions. To act with Grace is to do Gods work, to act with kindness, forgiveness, compassion, care, love.

The difference between Grace and Mercy is Grace is when God give you what you don’t deserve and MERCY is when God doesn’t give you what you DO deserve!!! So remember God loves you with Grace and Mercy!!!(sing in the rain)
