Cards:

I received a grace card, now what?

  1. Login and Add a New Post about the grace you received in the category corresponding to the number on the top left of your card. Be sure to check your Card Number Category in the right column and add any tags you wish. [You can find your card's thread by typing it in the search bar or selecting it from the list of Post Categories in the right column.] Also, see Posting Etiquette for help when posting.
  2. Now that you have received grace it is now your turn to give it someone. Your eyes are now more open to the needs of the world. Your heart is more aware. And because of the grace you have received you will have the courage to act on those needs using your abilities and resources. You can bookmark your card’s thread as a favorite and check back frequently to see the impact you have on proceeding grace receivers.

How do I get a new Grace Card and start a new post for my Grace Card number?
  1. To retrieve a printable new card, go to: New Card.
  2. Print it out and laminate/tape it for durability. (save the pdf to your hard drive-just in case)
  3. Then login to Grace Epidemic and post a comment in the New Card post. Detailing your name, card number, and location. A new thread and posting category will soon be opened for your specific card.

What if the person I passed my card along to doesn’t post?
You may be surprised and he or she may eventually post. Whether or not they post, you should post about your GRACE GIVEN. If you feel that your thread may have hit a dead end, you can always start a new thread by printing a new card with a new unique number at: New Card.

What if the person I gave my card to, doesn’t have access to or the ability to use the internet?
Both the grace receiver and grace givers should post about their grace experience. Naturally, the grace receiver will tell the best perspective of the story. Hopefully, both sides of the story are posted. The most important thing for the grace receiver to do is continue the epidemic and show grace to someone else and then pass along the card. Hopefully, it gets documented online for the world to bear witness. But we may not get all of the grace experiences.

What about humility? Aren’t we suppose to give without getting credit?
Grace Epidemic is not, by any means, about seeking credit or boasting about our acts of grace. Posting about our grace experiences helps promote grace and helps provide examples of how we can show grace to those in need.

Isn’t it kind of awkward to pass along a card after doing something out of kindness?
Not at all. For three reasons:
  1. Was it awkward for you when someone came along during your time of need and showed you grace?
  2. With that card being passed along you are not only showing grace to that person but to all the proceeding people that touch that card and the people that read your post.
  3. Think of it as a bonus gift that your are giving them. To participate in this epidemic. And to feel that great feeling of helping someone in need.
